I was so proud of myself when I finally finished my pink scarf that I wanted to share it with you before I send it off to Vicki, so (my apartment looking like it’s been run through by a large herd of buffalo) I took it over to the clubhouse here at Happy Hollow to take pictures of it in a less trampled environment (slightly less trampled). I must have taken at least two dozen pictures, lining each one up and zooming in for details, and generally acting as if I really knew what I was doing. I didn’t. I sat down a bit ago to “edit” my photos and was very unpleasantly surprised to find that the little memory card I took from my camera is completely blank. Of course, that gives me an excuse to take more pictures and, hopefully, do a better job of it. It also has me looking for the user’s manual to find out what I was doing wrong.
The colors in the scarf are lovely…just what I hoped for when I ordered the yarn. By my calculations, there are nearly 75,000 stitches in the scarf! I was determined to infuse every stitch with only the best and warmest thoughts and prayers—so it could carry them to its very special owner. Truly, knitting it has been good for my own wellness, both emotional and physical.
Still packing and sorting … well, maybe more sorting than packing. Running out of time–and my daughter is running out of patience with me. She tells me (and she’s right!) that if left to my own devices and decisions, I’ll be sitting in the new apartment in the middle of all my “craft stuff”-— on the floor. There won’t be any room for furniture….or anything else!
Am I the only one who thinks my “craft stuff” is as important as furniture?
