Aren’t these just the cutest things? I fell in love with them when I first laid eyes on them and wanted to share them with you….unfortunately I don’t have a pattern for them, but if you contact the artist, she might share it with you. (www.cherylscrochet.com)
I’ve been working on my new Purple Sweater in the late evenings when I am watching something from NetFlix. I only have about seven inches on it so far, but it moves fairly fast when I do work on it. I’m still waiting for my additional yarn to arrive. There was a box that was waiting for me in the office when I picked up my mail today and I got all excited about it….until I discovered that it was the toner cartridge for my laser printer. Drat!
Not that I don’t need the toner, but I did have my hopes up. What I really want to know is whether the new yarn will be the same color, or very close to it, as the yarn I already have. I’d rather not go through the process of introducing a new yarn into my project because it will really slow me down. I’ll keep you posted on the outcome.
I don’t have any babies to make lovely pink (blue, yellow, green, white ….variegated?) booties for, but I’d enjoy making them just for the joy of the finished product…I could always donate them to our local hospital for a baby who needs warm feet. The hospital here is always happy to get donations of baby blankets, soft toys, premie caps, caps for full-term babies, and things for adult patients too. Something that has been made by loving hands is always a comfort to someone who is going through a worrisome time.
I hope your stitches are sometimes for making folks who need them feel better, as well as for the joy of making something pretty fantastic!
