I didn’t realize it had been so long since I’ve written here. I’ve been distracted by things going on around me…and not a little by an acute attack of Spring Fever! It’s been warm and sunny and you can actually believe that maybe we’ve seen the last of winter. Here in California where I live, we don’t have very bad winters, but we are always ready for Spring when she finally gets here.
I haven’t done much stitching, but I did write some notes about a sweater I want to make, using the leftover yarn from the infamous Purple Sweater (no, it’s still in pieces, but it calls to me daily). I like the shape of the sweater, but I didn’t like the way it is knitted. So, borrowing heavily from the pattern, I have a new set of directions that could lead to disaster…or to a new and wonderful purple loosely draped wrap….with seams on the sides instead of buttons. This could become a new obsession for me.
It probably would be if I wasn’t so enchanted by my “discovery” of Zentangles and Fractals! Who knew what fun it could be to doodle? And fractals are incredible works of totally, massively, hugely, large mathematical calculations (that means I haven’t a clue how they are calculated). But I do love how they turn out! So, below, to share my new discoveries, I’ll put an example of each.
This is the fractal and below will be the Zentangle
You can learn more about how these designs are made from zentangle.com.
For more fractal images, I used Bing and typed in ‘fractal images’ and there are hundreds of them!
Have a good weekend if I don’t get back before then!
