Not much time today….homework, of course (not that I really want to do it; I have to.)
I’m happy to report that I finished the left front of the purple sweater last night while I was watching episodes of Grey’s Anatomy. Will remove stitches from needles this evening and begin work on the right front!
Earlier today I was noodling among different web sites and came across an image that really speaks to me…it reflects my love of reading in a way that is particularly apt:
See what I mean? It’s not cut or carved, but simply different folds to the pages of an old book! It’s done by Isaac G. Salazar, an accountant in Artesia, New Mexico. He developed his art from a beginning with origami. All of his pieces are made without ever cutting a page. The books are intact when he has completed his work. (I don’t have a credit for the photographer of this image. It may have been Isaac’s wife Veronica.) Pretty nifty, huh? So, let it inspire you to dig out a book or drop in at your local library and pick out something that appeals especially to you. And then, Enjoy!
More reports on the purple sweater as they come in…
